Who We Are
SUS is a social deduction party game available as a web application. We provide an online multiplayer experience where players guess who among them is the "imposter" based on word clues.
By creating an account or using the SUS app, you agree to this Privacy Policy and Terms of Service in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
02
Information We Collect
We collect the minimum information needed to provide you with a great gaming experience:
- Username — your chosen display name visible to other players in lobbies and chats.
- Avatar / profile icon — the emoji or avatar you select to represent yourself.
- Game statistics — coins, XP, level, wins, games played. Stored in Firestore.
- Inventory & purchases — items you buy in the Shop stored in your profile document.
- Chat messages — messages sent in online game lobbies. These are stored temporarily in Firebase Realtime Database and deleted when the lobby closes.
- Friend relationships — friend requests, friends list, followers, and likes you give or receive.
- Reports you submit — if you report another player, we store the report including the chat context for review by administrators.
- Google account info (optional) — if you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your Google account name, email address, and profile photo from Google Sign-In.
- Advertising ID and ad interaction data — because SUS shows ads through Google AdMob, Google's Mobile Ads SDK collects your device's advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID) and ad-engagement data (impressions, clicks) to serve and measure ads.
- Purchase history — when you make a real-money purchase (e.g., unlocking a paid word category), Google Play's billing system processes the transaction. We store only that a purchase was completed and which item was unlocked — we never see or store your card or payment details.
- Push notification token — a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) device token is generated so we can deliver notifications (e.g., friend requests, announcements) to your device.
- Basic device & app diagnostics — Firebase and Google Mobile Ads SDKs automatically collect standard technical data such as device model, OS version, app version, IP address, and crash/performance logs.
📌 We do not collect precise (GPS-level) geolocation, your payment card details, or any biometric data. Ads and analytics data are collected and processed by Google on our behalf, as described in the section below.
03
How We Use Your Information
Your data is used exclusively to operate and improve the SUS game:
- Authentication — signing you in via Google Sign-In or Guest mode is handled by Google Firebase Auth.
- Gameplay — username, avatar, and stats are shown to other players in lobbies and chats.
- Shop & rewards — your coin balance and inventory are synced across sessions.
- Safety — chat reports, profanity filtering, and moderation actions use stored chat data to protect the community.
- Analytics — aggregate, anonymized data about game activity helps us improve the app.
- Advertising — showing and measuring ads served through Google AdMob, as described below.
- Payments — processing real-money purchases through Google Play Billing.
- Notifications — delivering push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
We will never sell your personal data to third parties or share it beyond what is necessary to run the service, serve ads, process payments, and keep the community safe.
04
Advertising & Advertising ID
SUS displays ads through Google AdMob to help keep the game free to play. AdMob uses your device's Advertising ID (and, where applicable, other signals like general device and app information) to select and measure ads, and to limit how often you see the same ad.
- We do not control which specific ads AdMob shows you — ad selection is handled by Google based on its own advertising policies.
- Depending on your device settings and region, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. You can reset or opt out of ad personalization at any time in your device's system settings (e.g., Android Settings → Privacy → Ads).
- Google may combine data collected through AdMob with data from other Google services, subject to Google's own privacy policy.
- We do not share your username, email, chat messages, or in-game identity with the advertising network.
For details on how Google collects and uses this data, see Google's Privacy Policy and the "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services" page.
05
In-App Purchases & Payments
SUS offers optional real-money purchases (for example, one-time unlocks for certain word categories) alongside a free, coin-based virtual currency earned through gameplay.
- Payment processing — all real-money transactions are handled entirely by Google Play's billing system. We never receive or store your card number, billing address, or other payment credentials.
- What we store — only a record that a purchase was completed and which item it unlocked, linked to your account so the unlock persists across devices.
- Refunds — refund requests for real-money purchases must be made through Google Play's official refund process; in-game coins and unlocked items have no cash value and are not separately refundable by us.
- Purchases are optional — the core game is fully playable without spending real money.
06
Sign-In Methods & Third-Party Services
You can create an account using one of the following methods:
- Google Sign-In — Google shares your name, email address, and profile photo with us to create and identify your account. We do not receive your Google password.
- Guest / anonymous sign-in — you may also play without creating a permanent account. Guest accounts are tied to your device and may be lost if the app is uninstalled or data is cleared.
You can disconnect Google Sign-In at any time from your Google Account settings, and you can convert a guest account or delete any account entirely from the app's Settings screen.
07
Push Notifications
With your permission, SUS sends push notifications (for example, friend requests or important announcements) using Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
- The first time you open the app, your device will show the standard OS prompt asking whether to allow notifications.
- If you allow notifications, an FCM device token is generated and stored so we can deliver messages to your device. This token does not by itself identify you personally.
- You can disable notifications at any time from your device's system settings, without affecting your ability to use the rest of the app.
10
Data Storage & Firestore
Your profile data (username, coins, XP, level, avatar, inventory, friends, likes) is stored in Google Cloud Firestore — a secure, cloud-hosted NoSQL database. Game lobby data (chat messages, turns, votes) is stored temporarily in Firebase Realtime Database and deleted when the game session ends.
Data is stored on Google servers, potentially in multiple regions for performance. By using the app, you consent to this cross-region storage as permitted by Firebase's terms.
You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us or deleting your account in Settings.
Some data is not stored by us at all: advertising and ad-measurement data is processed directly by Google AdMob, and payment details for real-money purchases are processed directly by Google Play Billing. Neither flows through our own servers or Firestore.
11
Chat & Communication Rules
The in-game chat exists to facilitate gameplay discussion. By using the chat feature, you agree to the following rules:
- No links allowed — sending URLs or links to websites is strictly prohibited. The system will automatically block messages containing links.
- No hate speech — messages containing slurs, racism, sexism, or targeted hate will be filtered and may result in account suspension.
- Profanity filtering — common profanity in English and Arabic is automatically censored with asterisks (e.g., ****). Attempting to bypass filters is a violation.
- No harassment — do not target, bully, or repeatedly message another player in an unwanted manner.
- No cheating coordination — using chat to coordinate cheating (e.g., secretly revealing the imposter before voting) undermines the game for everyone.
Violations can be reported using the Report button in the chat. Reports are reviewed by administrators and may result in warnings, temporary bans, or permanent account deletion.
12
Community Rules & Banned Behavior
🚫
Bullying & Harassment
Targeting, intimidating, or persistently bothering another player. Zero tolerance policy.
⚠️
Harmful Content
Sharing content that promotes violence, self-harm, or harm to others in any form.
🎮
Cheating & Exploits
Using bugs, scripts, or external tools to gain an unfair advantage in any game mode.
🔐
Hacking Attempts
Attempting to access other accounts, manipulate the database, or disrupt the service.
🔗
Spam & Links
Sending repeated messages, advertisements, or links to external websites.
👥
Impersonation
Pretending to be another player, admin, or public figure to deceive others.
Violations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Severe or repeated violations will result in permanent account deletion without refund of any in-game currency.
13
Account Suspension & Deletion
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently delete any account that violates these terms, without prior notice in cases of severe violations (e.g., hacking, extreme harassment).
For minor violations, we will attempt to:
- Issue a warning via the report system
- Apply a temporary suspension if behavior continues
- Permanently delete the account for repeated or severe violations
You may delete your own account at any time from the Settings screen. Account deletion is permanent — all your coins, XP, items, friends, and game history will be erased and cannot be recovered.
In-game coins and items have no real-world monetary value and will not be refunded upon deletion.
14
Children's Privacy
SUS is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has created an account, please contact us immediately and we will delete the account and all associated data.
For users between 13–17 years old, we encourage parental guidance when using online multiplayer features.

Your continued use of SUS after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree with changes, you should delete your account before they take effect.
